SUBJECT: Request to Attend Conference
The First Joint Conference of The American Society on Aging and the The
National Council on the Aging will be held March 8-11, 2001, in New
Orleans, Louisiana. This conference has numerous seminars, sessions,
exhibits, and several tours specific for senior center programming. This is the
only national conference I know of that has specific senior center events. The
cost for this request will be approximately $1,495.
Requested Action
City Council approval to attend the Joint Conference of The American Society
on Aging and The National Council on the Aging in New Orleans, LA.
Funding for my attendance at this conference is a budgeted item in my 2001
budget under the travel, conferences, and school line item.
