Approve hiring of economic development assistant.
Background/Discussion
We have completed a second interview and a background check of the top candidate fox the economic
development assistant position and axe pxepazed to recommend a candidate to fill the position. As of the
writing of this memo, the details of the employment offer have not been finalized, and we axe awaiting
word from the applicant on hex acceptance of the position (pending Council approval). I will present
additional detailed information verbally at the meeting. If you have any questions prior to the meeting,
please contact me.
Financial Impact
This position takes the place of the assistant director of economic development position that was
included in the 2008 budget.
