Consider Solicitor Licenses for GMG Direct Applicants

Action Requested
1. Council motion approving a solicitor license to Steve Wrede and David Slonecki through December
29, 2008, with the following conditions:
a. Only one (1) solicitor shall approach one residence and no solicitor from the same company
can approach the same door again unless invited back by the resident.
b. Hours for unsolicited calls are limited to Monday through Saturday, Noon to 6:00 p.m.
c. Applicants shall carry the solicitor's license and a driver's license or state ID while soliciting.
d. Applicant's shall not knock on any door where there is a sign prohibiting solicitors.
Background/Discussion
Two applicants with GMG Direct are requesting a license to solicit services for Charter Communications.
The applications have been processed and both qualify for a solicitor's license per our ordinance.
