Staff recommends approval of the General Planning Permit request for a temporary green house in the
parking lot of Wal*Mart, as indicated on the plans dated received January 16, 2007, with the following
conditions:
1. No electrical services shall be across any drive or walking surface.
2. If traffic becomes a problem around the temporary site, the sales area shall be
delineated with a barrier to restrict traffic.
3. The greenhouse/garden center shall be maintained free of debris and kept in an
orderly condition.
4. The location of the greenhouse is consistent with the submitted site plan.
5. The greenhouse and display area be removed within one week of the end of the sales
period and the site be returned to its previous condition.
Background/Discussion
Wal*Mart store at 18185 Zane Ave is requesting a temporary greenhouse from April 22 to August 1,
2008. The greenhouse will be located in the same location as 2007, which was in the parking lot in front
of the enclosed garden center. There were no known issues last year.

Council on Wednesday, April 30, 2008,6:30 p.m., at the Sherburne County Government
Center, 13880 Highway 10, Elk River, Minnesota.
The purpose of the meeting is for the Board of Appeal and Equalization review process.
In accordance with State Statute, I hereby request the city clerk to post this notice at least
three days prior to the meeting date. I further request the city clerk to notify each member of
the City Council of this special meeting, in writing, at least one day before the meeting.
