Action Requested
Approval of the request by Ajay Uppal dba Elk River BP located at 13374 Highway 10 for a tobacco
license valid through December 31, 2008.
Backzround/Discussion
Ajay Uppal is requesting a license to sell tobacco at 13374 Highway 10 (formerly MP Convenience). The
applicant has submitted all the necessary application material and has successfully completed a
background check.
Moratorium
A moratorium is in place until July 15, 2008, on the licensing of tobacco sales for establishments where
the sale of tobacco products and smoking supplies is the primary business of the establishment. Elk River
BP is a convenience store at which tobacco products are not the primary business.
