SUBJECT: Senior Activity Center-HVAC Repairs
Included in the 2008 budget is an amount of $26,000 fox equipment replacement and the
upgrading of the HVAC electronic controls at the Senior Activity Center, evhich axe
currently outdated, failing, and in need of replacement. The majority of the cost is related to
the replacing of the electronic control system, approximately $19,000. The remainder of the
funds will be used to replace ox repair other HVAC mechanical equipment at the facility.
Building Maintenance staff plans to begin these repairs in early May. Direct Digital Controls
will be doing the electronic control replacement to insure that our control systems will
match control systems in our other facilities. These repairs will insure that the HVAC system
will operate more efficiently well into the future and greatly assist the Building Maintenance
staff in ensuring that our seniors have a clean and comfortable facility.
