Mayor and City CouncIl approval to hire Brian Scharber, Joseph Libor, and Ryan Wolcenski as paid on-
call firefighters.
Background/Discussion
In February, the Ellc River Fire Department received Council approval to advertise for paid on-call
firefighters. The screening of the applications and interviewing of potential applicants is now complete
and the Elk River Fire Department Personnel Committee has selected Brian Schaxbex, Joseph Libor and
Ryan Wolcenski to fill these positions. All three candidates have successfully completed their firefighter
physicals and background checks.
Financial Impact
Minimum requirements of Firefighter I and First Responder training - $3,000.
