RE: H.F. 1291/S.F. 1122 County Ditch Transfer Authority
The Committee on Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs of the
Minnesota House of Representatives met March 29, 1995 and heard
testimony on the Sherburne County/City of Elk River ditch
conveyance authority legislation.
The Committee recommended approval of the legislation and moved
it to the House floor.
Representative Bruce Anderson will be determining whether the
Environment Committee should hear this biii. If so, it may
• detour to that Committee; however, Che general consensus of the
Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs Committee was not to
have the bill go to the Environment Committee.
The bill is pending in the Senate where it was passed by the
Local Government Committee and is awaiting a hearing at the
Environment Committee before it goes to the floor. I spoke with
Senator Ourada who advises he will let us know as the bill
progresses through the Senate side.
