Mayor and Council adoption of attached resolution approving premises permit renewal fox the Elk River
Lions Club.
Background/Discussion
'The Elk River Lions Club has requested to renew their premises permit to conduct charitable gambling at
Broadway Bax & Pizza at 16754 Highway 10. The permit will run fox two years from September 1, 2008
through August 31, 2010.
The city's ordinance requires that 75 percent of the lawful purpose expenditures must be spent within the
city's trade area. The wade area fox Elk River consists of the following cities: Elk River, Ramsey, Otsego,
Rogers, and Zimmerman. The Elk River Lions Club has met this requirement.

RESOLUTION 08-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PREMISES PERMIT RENEWAL FOR THE
ELK RIVER LIONS CLUB
WHEREAS, the F_lk River Lions Cluh has made application to the State Gambling
Control Board fox a Premises Permit Renewal; and,
WHEREAS, the Premises Permit will allow charitable gambling on the premises of
Broadway Bax and Pizza located at 16754 Highway 10 in the City of Elk
River; and,
WHEREAS, the Elk River Lions Cluh has met the city's requirement of spending 75
percent of its lawful expenditures within the city's trade area during the
past two years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota that a Pxelnises Permit be granted to the Elk River Lions Club to allow charitable
gambling operations at Broadway Bax and Pizza at 16754 Highway 10, Elk River, Minnesota.
Passed and adopted this 19`x' day of May 2008.
