SUBJECT: Joint City Council/School Board
Meeting - School Board Meeting
In previous conversations with School Superintendent Dr. Flannery, I was
advised that the Monday, January 29, 1996, date was "most likely" going to
be acceptable to the School Board for a joint meeting. However, Dr. Flannery
has not had an opportunity to discuss this at a School Board meeting, so this
date should still be considered as a tentative meeting date.
It is appropriate for the City Council to call a special meeting for January 29,
1996, at 7 p.m., at Elk River City Hall in order to have the City Council meet
with the School Board. If for some reason the time or location should change,
we can make adjustments through a written notice by the Mayor.
Additionally, if this date does not work out for a joint meeting with the
School Board, then the City Council meeting can be canceled by notice of the
Mayor. If this joint meeting does not take place, there are no other city
business items that need to be addressed on this fifth Monday of the month.
