LETTER OF RESIGN,\TION
This is to inform the city council thatI have decided to retire as police chief for the City of
Elk River. I have been the police chief for almost twenty-three (23) years. Prior to that, I
was a police officer for the City for fi*e (5) years. The years have gone by fast and it is hard
to believe this time has come. BecauSe I am turning fifty (50), I will be able to stay on with
the City's health insurance plan per L0ri Johnson, which was one of the major factors for
Chris and me in making this decision.i
