SUBJECT: Filing Dates
The following terms of office will expire on December 31, 2008.
^ Councilmember from Ward 2
^ Councilmember from Ward 3
Filing for office is scheduled July 1 -July 15, 2008 (open unti15:00 p.m. on July 15). The
filing fee is $5.00
A candidate who will be absent from the state during the filing period may submit an
affidavit of candidacy and the filing fee during the seven days immediately preceding the
candidate's absence from the state. A candidate must state in writing the reason for being
unable to submit the affidavit during the filing period.
A candidate may withdraw from the election by filing an affidavit of withdrawal no later than
5 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2008.
