Action Requested
A Council motion to approve a temporary sales and storage fireworks license to Quentin Nelson,
Hometown Fireworks, to sell fireworks from June 20, 2008 through July 5, 2008 from a tent on Lot 2,
Block 1, Elk River Crossing (the grass lot south of the Anytime Fitness parking lot) with the following
condition:
The area shall be mowed where the tent is located. A 25-foot buffer area surrounding the
tent shall also be mowed.
Background/Discussion
The applicant has submitted all the necessary application materials required for this license. A background
check was completed by the police department and the fire chief has reviewed the site plan.
The applicant also needs a general planning permit from the planning department in order to conduct his
sales.
