Action Requested
1. Council motion approving a solicitor license to Sarah Frank, Sarah's Books through December 29,
2008, with the following conditions:
a. Only one (1) solicitor shall approach one residence and no solicitor from the same company
can approach the same door again unless invited back by the resident.
b. Hours for unsolicited calls are limited to Monday through Saturday, Noon to 6:00 p.m.
c. Applicants shall carry the solicitor's license and a driver's license or state ID while soliciting.
d. Applicant's shall not knock on any door where there is a sign prohibiting solicitors.
Background/Discussion
Sarah Frank of Sarah's Books is requesting a license to solicit educational materials for the Southwestern
Company. Ms. Frank is an authorized dealer for the Southwestern Company. The applicant has
completed all the necessary background materials and cleared a police department background check.
