Action Requested
The Mayor and City Council are asked to adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from Great River Energy pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03.
Background/Discussion
The City of Elk River Police Department received a $1,500 donation from Great River Energy with the
intent that $500 be used for National Night Out and $1,000 towards the purchase of an Automated
External Defibrillator.
Financial Impact
A contribution in the amount of $1,500 was received.

RESOLUTION 08-
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Police Department received a $1,500 donation from
Great River Energy with the intent that $500 be used for National Night Out and $1,000
towards the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Great River Energy
for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 16~' day of June 2008.
