Premises Permit Renewal for Elk River
Youth Hockey Association
?OD UCTION:
river Youth Hockey Association has made application for a premises
it renewal to operate charitable gambling at Dick's Riverfront Bar.
KGROUND:
The attached pull-tab information indicates that Elk River Youth Hockey
met the City's requirement of spending 75% of its lawful expenditures within
the City's trade area. The City's trade area consists of the cities of Elk River,
Otsego, Ramsey, Rogers, and Zimmerman.
Elk River Youth Hockey first received its Premises Permit to operate pull
tabs at Dick's Riverfront Bar in mid 1994. An organization takes a few
months to gain lawful expenditures when first starting out. As the attached
information shows, the Hockey Association did not have any lawful
expenditures in 1994. In 1995, the Hockey Association spent 100% of its
lawful expenditures in the City's trade area.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Council motion to adopt the attached resolution approving premises permit
renewal for Elk River Youth Hockey Association.

RESOLUTION 96-
A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PREMISES PERMIT RENEWAL FOR
ELK RIVER YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS,
the Elk River Youth Hockey has made apphcation to the
State Gambhng Control Board for a Premises Permit
Renewal; and
WHEREAS,
the Premises Permit will allow charitable gambhng (pull-
tabs) on the premises; and
WHEREAS,
the premises upon which the gambhng will be conducted is
Dick's Riverfront Bar, 651 Main Street in the City of Elk
River; and
WHEREAS,
the Elk River Youth Hockey has met the City's requirement
of spending 75% of its lawful expenditures within the City's
trade area during the years of 1994 and 1995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Elk River grant its approval of a Premises Permit for the
Elk River Youth Hockey Association.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 20th day of February,
1996.
