Background At the December 3, 2007 HRA meeting, the HRA approved a 2-year lease agreement with the Elk River Art Alliance. On Tuesday, June 24, 2008, David Raymond (Art Alliance) submitted a request to the City, asking for permission to store various items in the rear of 716 Main St. (see attached email) I spoke with Mr. Raymond, and he has also expressed interest in obtaining a key for 716 Main, giving the ERAA ability to access their storage area. Discussion Mr. Raymond understands that he would need to speak with staff before making any considerable additions or changes to the items being stored. Should there be any interest from a potential tenant; staff would give the ERAA a 30-day notice to remove their items. Attachments Email request from David Raymond. Cc: Dave Raymond <d...graymond@eraaa.org> Subject: Items to store next door Good afternoon Annie, The Arts Alliance is hoping to store items next door, in_ the closed off area, at the back of the large space. I have not seen the space so I don't know if we would want to try and add some shelving along the wall but anything like that would, of course, be cleared with you beforehand. Items to be stored would not be needed on a regular basis but are reused from time to time: ~ Boxes of supplies for ArtSoup such as forms and art supplies. Folded cardboard boxes used with plastic liners at ArtSoup for trash collection. ~~~~ ~ . "\" 5~~ Storage totes and waste baskets etc. Equipment used with the stages and tents (cables and electric meter/breaker boxes) Two or three folding tables. We are planning to gather a few people together Thursday afternoon about 4:00 PM to move what we have at the Arts Alliance office. Let me know if there is anything more you need and when would be a good time to meet about gaining access. Thanks! David Raymond Arts Alliance 763-441-4725 dgrayniond ~u;eraaa org 6/26/2008
