JULY 22, 2008
Mick Stoffers, Karen Stelk, John Dietz, Mike Hangaard, Jayne Dietz, Ann
Schroeder and Nick Zerwas City Council Liaison were in attendance.
Meeting was called to order at 6:30pm.
A quorum was established.
The agenda, treasurer's and secretary's report were reviewed, a motion and second
were made to approve all. One note concerning the treasurer's report: Mick to look
into the lawn care charge. What is it for and what time period did that cover.
Librarian's Report and Old Business:
*12% of patrons are using self-checkout and the signs have been posted.
*Terry Mauer from the City looked at the book drop. We would like to get a
concrete barrier to guide and estimates to correct the current layout. One
suggestion in particular the board would like to explore is removing one handicap
spot and make it a straight drive thru. The handicap spot would be relocated to one
of the alternative fuel parking places. The board would also like to ask KKE to
replace the bottom, damaged part of the book drop.
*Mick is still waiting to hear from KKE and Bill M. on options for a replacement
fireplace insert.
New Business:
The City Council approved the patio; we are still waiting for construction to start.
