Mayor Klinzing is asked to present Mr. Steve Dittbenner with his 30-year plaque on behalf of the City of
Elk River and the Elk River Fire and Ambulance Service.
Background/Discussion
Steve Dittbenner started with the Elk River Fire Department on September 1, 1978 and continues to be
an active member of the Fire Department. Steve is a firefighter assigned to Fire Station #2, but
frequently responds to Fire Station #1 during his normal working hours as owner of Minnesota
Manufacturing and Machine which has been a long successful business within the City of Elk River. The
Fire Department has experienced many changes in Steve Dittbenner's 30 years of service and dedication
to our community and Fire Department response area. Steve is also an Emergency Medical Technician
(EMT) and serves as Ambulance Coordinator for the Elk River Ambulance Service. Steve continues to
play a vital role for the Elk River Ambulance Service to provide vision for the ambulance service within
our community. On behalf of the membership of the Elk River Fire Department, I would like to thank
Firefighter Steve Dittbenner for 30 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Elk River.
I believe it is very important we recognize the members of the Elk River Fire Department fox their
dedication to the citizens of our community. Steve Dittbenner has been and continues to be an asset to
the City of Elk River, the Elk River Fire Department, and the Elk River Ambulance Service.
