Ordinance Amendment Request by the
City of Elk River, Public Hearing Case
No. OA 96-2
Request
This ordinance amendment is being brought forward for the Planning
Commission and City Council to consider amending this section of the
ordinance pertaining to requiring commercial and industrial development
within the urban service district to hook up to water and sewer, as a
prerequisite for development. This item was brought before the Planning
Commission on February 27; however, the Commission did not take any
action on the ordinance amendment, rather, tabled this item until their
March 26th pubhc hearing. It is anticipated the Planning Commission will
also be discussing this item at their regular workshop meeting on Tuesday,
March 19th.
Recommendation
It is recommended the City Council table this item until the April 15th City
Council meeting.
