Staff recommends the Council extend the time period requiring recordation of the final plat to September
17, 2009.
Background/Discussion
The final plat of Pintail Estates was approved on September 17th, 2007. City ordinance requires
recordation of a final plat no later than one year from the date of approval, or September 17, 2008. The
applicant is requesting an extension to September 2009, as the applicant and staff continue to work
together on an acceptable park dedication agreement.
Staff has no concern with the extension as requested, with the understanding that the park dedication and
other fees are established at the time of final plat recording.

RE: Pintail Estates Final Plat Extension
.Riverside Companies is asking for a one year extension for the recording of Pintail
Estates. Spectrum High School and the City of Elk River Parks Department are. _
working on a delayed park fee agreement. Approval of said agreement should be on
the September 15 .Council agenda. It is our intent to record Pintail Estates in
September of 2008, but the plat would expire on September 17 if it is not filed by then.
We consider this. a precautionary measure.
It is the hope of Riverside Companies and Spectrum.High School that the City of Elk
River will grant us this Final Plat Extension. Please contact me with any questions or if
