At the request of some of the property owners in the neighborhood, the City Council
directed staff to prepare a cost estimate for providing City Utilities and permanent streets
in your area. If these improvements were to happen, they would require a permanent
easement be given to establish a corridor for the utilities and street. It would also mean the
City would take over ownership and maintenance responsibility for the utilities and street.
The City of Elk River has scheduled the following informational meeting to discuss this
issue:

Utilities and Street Informational Meeting
Thursday, April 18, 1996
6:30 - 8:00 P.M.
Elk RiVer City 'Hall Council chambers
This type of public improvement project would involve assessments to your property. It
is important that you provide input to the decision whether or no to proceed with a public
improvement. All comments from the informational meeting will be presented to the City
Council. If you are unable to attend the above scheduled meeting, written comments may
be submitted to me, or if you have questions, I can be contacted at 644-4389. Otherwise,
please plan to attend and provide your input.
