SUBJECT: Accept Resignation from Park and
Recreation Commission by Clete
Lipetzky
Attached for your review is a letter of resignation from Park and Recreation
Commissioner Clete Lipetzky. Also attached is a cover memo from Dave
Anderson, chair of the Commission, regarding advertisement for this
vacancy.
Last January, the City Council interviewed but did not appoint Tom Cruz to
the Park and Recreation Commission. Larry Ebert was also an applicant for
the Commission but withdrew prior to the interviews. Applications are kept
on file for one year and the Council, per city policy, may appoint these
applicants without advertising if they desire.
Since we only have one application on file and since there appears to be new
interest in serving on the city commissions, it is recommended that the City
Council accept Clete Lipetzky's resignation and that we advertise for this
vacancy. Clete's term is scheduled to expire at the end of 1995.
