Action Requested
Hire Elizabeth McKimmy as a Temporary Cablecaster.
Background/Discussion
A few months back Council authorized staff to hire a temporary employee to assist the Cable Division
with the taping of meetings. Elizabeth McKimmy has worked for the Burnsville-Eagan Communications
Commission and the Apple Valley, Farmington, Rosemount Cable Commission cablecasting city
meetings over the past few years. She has a degree in mass communications with an emphasis in
television production from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Ms. McKimmy would be able to start
on November 10, 2008.
Financial Impact
Ms. McKitnmy will be paid at $12.50 per hour, scheduled a minimum of four hours each evening she
works.
