Recently, someone from the Elk River Arts Alliance asked why the community wasn't using the
theatre more. In my opinion, there are 2 reasons for lack of use:
The general public is unaware of its availability.
! try to match community requests for space to the appropriate type of space (ie: a
meeting of 20 people would be placed in a classroom over the theatre). Although !
have a lot of requests from the community to use the schools, it is usually more
appropriate to assign those groups into smaller areas such as classrooms, music
rooms, etc. Since there is no charge for that type of usage either, a lot of the public
use is in different types of spaces.
