Dear Chair Edling:
On March 19, 1996, the Sherburne County Board of Commissioners and the
Elk River City Council met in a joint session to discuss issues relating to both
bodies. During this meeting the future location of the Sherburne County Fair
was discussed. The County Board indicated that the City should make its
desires and intentions known to the Fairboard regarding the location of the
fair.
As Mayor of the City, I would like to inform you that the City Council
strongly supports having the Sherburne County Fair remain in the City of
Elk River. A formal motion to this effect was unanimously approved by the
City Council at its March 25, 1996, meeting. Please convey this message to
the County Fairboard.
