Emergency Operations Plan
The Emergency Operations Plan has been presented to the City Council by
the Emergency Management Director Bruce West. The plan must be
formally adopted by Resolution.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Adoption of the attached resolution will formally adopt the City of Elk River
Emergency Operations Plan.

RESOLUTION 96-
A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN
WHEREAS,
an emergency plan is needed to ensure the protection of the
public from the effects of natural disasters and major
disasters; and
WHEREAS,
the basic purpose of the Emergency Operations Plan is to
provide a guide for emergency operations; and
WHEREAS,
the plan is intended to assist key city officials and emergency
organizations to carry out their responsibilities for the
protection of life and property under a wide range of
emergency conditions; and
WHEREAS,
the Emergency Management Director Bruce West has
presented the City Council with the City of Elk River
Emergency Operations Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Elk River City Council
adopt the City of Elk River Emergency Operations Plan.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 15th day of April,
1996.
