The Community Youth Task Force is requesting official confirmation of the city's support in their endeavors to build assets for our youth and our communities. Thank you for your interest in and support of our work. We are currently cooperating with Sherburne County Public Health and District 728 Community Ed. to present a Town Meeting on May 22 aimed at providing information and education to members of the community regarding the concept of building assets for our youth and our communities. This event is being supported by the following Community Partners: Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce, Sherburne Co. Public Health, Elk River Ministerium, Elk River Area Citizens League, Elk River Rotary, Rivers of Hope, Elk River Star News, Community Recreation, District 728 ECFE, District 728 Community Ed., District 728 Public Schools, The 2001 Committee, Inc., Sherburne County 4H, Rogers Area Chamber of Commerce, Sherburne County Extension, ERA High School Student Council, Sherburne County Sheriff, Elk River Police Department, City of Otsego, City of Zimmerman, and the City of Elk River per phone conversation with Mayor Dultsman on April 17. Mayor Duitsman asked that we provide a written memo to the City Council members in order that official confirmation of the support of the City of Elk River may be given at a council meeting. This memo is intended to serve that purpose. Thank you again for your efforts on behalf of the youth of our community. Rita Johnson
