SUBJECT: Premise Permit Renewal for Eagles
Club
The Eagles Club have made application for a Premise Permit to allow the
sale of pull tabs at their establishment located at 824 Railroad Drive. The
Eagles have recently discontinued selling pull tabs under their current
premise permit. They are currently leasing space to the VFW who has a
premise permit to sell pull tabs at the Eagles Club.
As you can see by the attached chart, the Eagles have met the requirement of
spending 75% of the profits in the City's trade area during the last three
years. The 1995 report does not show a full year due to the fact that the
Eagles discontinued selling pull tabs during this year.
The Eagles have indicated that they wish to renew their premise permit and
keep it active in case they should decide to sell pull tabs once again.
ACTION REQUESTED
Counci] motion adopting the attached resolution authorizing a premise
permit renewal for the Eagles Club.

RESOLUTION 96-
A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PREMISES PERMIT FOR
EAGLES AERIE #3664
WHEREAS,
the Eagles Aerie #3364 have made application to the State
Gambling Control Board for a Premises Permit; and
WHEREAS,
the Premises Permit will allow charitable gambhng (pull-
tabs) on the premises; and
WHEREAS,
the premises upon which the gambling will be conducted is
the Eagles Club, 824 Railroad Drive in the City of Elk River;
and
WHEREAS,
the Eagles have met the City's requirement of spending 75%
of its lawful expenditures within the City's trade area during
the years of 1994 and 1995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Elk River grant its approval of a Premises Permit for the
Eagles Aerie #3664.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 6th day of May, 1996.
