SUBJECT: Major Park Use - Meadowvale Elementary
We have received a request to use Woodland Trails on Saturday, October 4`'' for a race from
Meadowvale Elementary. They expect approximately 500 people at this fundraising event
and will begin and end at the school. Times are Sam-2pm. They will bring equipment for
checkpoint stations, signs, and route markers. This is the second time for this event.
Staff recommends allowing this use at no charge. Pernut will include a reminder of park use
rules including using paint that will wash away to mark trails and signs for the public.
Additionally, they have requested permission to again use a pick up to transport signs, tables,
banners, and garbage cans to each check point. They were given permission to use a small
pick up truck in 2007 and there were no issues reported.
