The EDA currently maintains the following committees which meet on an as needed basis:
Finance Committee
Tom McNair
Cliff Lundberg
Chris Carlson
David Rymanowski
Dan Tviete (EDA representative)
Paul Motin (EDA representative)
Marketing Committee
Jim Barthel
Chris Carlson
Gary Santwire
Mark Urista
Local manufacturer representative - (To Be Determined)
Local banking representative - (To Be Determined)
Jerry Gumphrey (City Council representative)
Dan Tveite (EDA representative)
The Finance Committee is utilized for review and recommendation of the Economic
Development Micro Loan requests and for financing policy recommendations to the EDA.
The Marketing Committee is utilized for review and recommendation of the Strategic
Industrial Marketing Plan and other marketing efforts. In the past the EDA has also
maintained a Business Incubator Advisory Committee. That committee has since been
dissolved since the closure of the incubator program in 2006. In addition, it should be noted
that EDA Commissioner Tviete serves as the EDA representative on the Downtown
Redevelopment Taskforce.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the EDA consider appointing EDA Commissioners to the above
committees for 2007.
