Action Requested
Council motions to appoint the following:
Councilmembers to serve as non-voting liaisons for the following boards with terms to expire
December 31, 2010.
^ Planning Commission
^ Parks and Recreation Commission
Heritage Preservation Commission
Library Board
2. One Council representative on the Economic Development Authority with a term expiration that
coincides with the term of the Councilmember appointed.
One Council representative to the Ice Arena Commission to fulfill Councilmember Farber's
unexpired term until February 28, 2010. (_~Text Ice Arena Commission meeting is January- 14 at
t>:00 pin.)
Background/Discussion
Each Councilmember serves as anon-voting liaison between the City Council and the advisory boards. In
the past Council has requested these terms to run for two years.
Former Councilmember Farber served as Council representative to the Economic Development
Authority and the Ice Arena Commission and appointments should be made to fill the vacancies.
