Are you involved in Open Space Planning for your community.?
This workshop will highlight a new educational effbrt by the No~hland
NEMO Program to assist communities as they plan flor open space. The
workshop is intended for municipal and county land use decision-
makers, local land trusts ~md other organizations interested in open
space planning. The overall philosophy is that through good natural
resource-based planning, local jurisdictions can take charge of the
f'uture of their community, balancing conservation and development.
The workshop will focus on the community process of developing an
open space plan and goes over specific tools and techniques for
acquiring open space.
Experts on open space planning from the National NEMO Network
will present ways communities around the country' are meeting the
challenge of presetwing community character while maintaining a
healthy economy.
