The EDA currently maintains the following committees which meet on an as needed basis:
Finance Committee

Chris Carlson (Business representative)
David Rymanowski (First National Bank of Elk River representative)
Larry Toth (HRA representative)
Dan Tviete (EDA representative)
Paul Motin (EDA representative)
Industrial Marketing Committee
Jim Barthel (Manufacturing representative)
Chris Carlson (Manufacturing representative)
Gary Santwire (Developer representative)
Mark Urista (Business representative)
To Be Determined (Local banking representative)
Jerry Gumphrey (City Council representative)
Dan Tveite (EDA representative)
The Finance Committee is utilized for review and recommendation of the Economic Development
Micro Loan requests to the EDA. The Industrial Marketing Committee is utilized for review and
recommendation of the Strategic Industrial Marketing Plan and other industrial marketing efforts.
In addition, the following EDA Commissioners serves as EDA representative on other city
committees:
• Downtown Redevelopment Taskforce -EDA Commissioner Tviete
• Energy City Commission -EDA Commissioner Ron Touchette
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the EDA consider appointing EDA Commissioners to the above
committees for 2009.
