Hot Topics of the Month
• One of our youth oriented programs that was held over Winter break was the 3 on
3 Basketball Tournament. This tournament was designed for youth in grades four
through eight and was held at the new YMCA gymnasium. No referees or
coaches were included and the approach to the tournament was for friendly
competition. 40 teams participated in this year's tournament.

• Breakaway registration forms are completed and in our arena as well as Monticello and
Rogers. Players can register now.
• Registrations have begun for the ice show.
• Backdrops are being researched for the Ice Show.
January Programs
• January Charity Open Skate has not been finalized yet-but will benefit CAER.
• John M. Twaddle Memorial Tournament is 1/10-1/11.
Special Marketing Efforts
• A Breakaway newsletter will be sent to all participants in the fall league to inform
them of the spring league.
• Extra large posters will be hung on the glass in the Olympic Rink for Breakaway.
