SUBJECT: April 19, 2008 Energy Expo Update
Spectrum Charter School is ready for judging the Energy Innovations Contest and paring
down the video competition to the Top 20. Bob Freeh has contacted a local movie
producer to assist with the video judging. Other City Staff have volunteered to assist
with the judging for the videos as well from I p.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, April 7 at City
Hall. Please let Nicki know if you would like to participate in the judging for the Energy
Enny's as well.
There are 32 total exhibitors signed up, some of which are also sponsors. MN Corn
Growers Association or the American Lung Association will have at least one ethanol
vehicle to show.
Signs for the event are being finished by the city Streets Department. Several smaller
signs are being prepared by staff. A utilities bill stuffer has gone out to all ERMU
customers. Advertising is ready to go, and programs are being printed.
The question of whether the gift certificate drawing pads would be re-printed has been
answered. The conservative estimate for changing print and legal fees was $550.00 so
we'll be using the pads we already have printed this year. The change will plan to be
made for next year.
The Marketer, Tent people, and Spectrum Representative, Bob Freeh plan to meet
concerning final details on April 3~d at City Hall.
The subcommittee has not yet scheduled their final meeting and will need to do so
