SUBJECT: Major Park Use - Meadowvale Elementary
We have received a request to use Woodland Trails on Saturday, October 6`h for a race from
Meadowvale Elementary. They expect approximately 500 people at this fundraising event
and will begin and end at the school. Times are Sam-2pm. They will bring equipment for
checkpoint stations, signs, and route markers. This is the first time for this event.
Staff recommends allowing this use at no charge. Permit will include a reminder of park use
rules including using paint that will wash away to mark trails and signs for the public.
Additionally, they have requested permission to use an ATV and trailer to transport signs,
tables, banners, and garbage cans to each check point. Our current policy does not permit
motorized vehicles on the trails. Staff is requesting direction from the commission on this
item.
