Hot Touic(s) of the Month
Summer softball n playoffs have begun with 52 teams participating. The new concert series
on Tuesdays at lunch time have begun and run through August 28`''. We've had about 25
people attend each of these events. The evening concerts are still going strong with an
average of 400 attending. The downtown businesses seem to be pleased with how they have
turned out. The Fallen Oak Duathlon was a success at Hillside with over 75 people
participating. Ramsey Bicycle was the sponsor of all the prizes and t-shirts.

We have done several marketing pieces including utilizing the downtown bulletin board for
flyers, brochures, etc. The items placed downtown disappear quickly and it is a great
challenge to have to try to keep them full.

Hot Topic(s) of the Month
Working with YMCA on 2 Senior Programs. 1) Senior Fitness (similar to Silver Sneakers)
and 2) Mini Field Trips (use YMCA Van & Driver). The YMCA has finally found an
instructor -waiting to confirm the schedule. No confirmation as of 7-26-07.
We are continuing to work with RaeAnn to update the senior Good News Letter and to
print & mail it through the City. Aug will be the 2°`' time and we are still working a few bugs
out to be more efficient. Cross marketing with other divisions of Park & Rec

7-20 Wills & Estate Planning Seminar, this event was rescheduled as the Attorney had a
conflict. Rescheduled for 8-24.
8-17 Identity Theft Seminar
Working with a volunteer to start an "Organized Scrabble Club" for the new Activity Center.
This is different than the "Scrabble for Fun" activity that we have currently.
8-7 National Night Out - Co-sponsored with Guardian Angels Homes. Visits from the
Police & Fire Depts, live music and a Hot Dog Dinner.
8-13 & 8-21 2 new Craft Classes being offered
