SUBJECT: Downtown Movies Update
With the help of a sponsorship from The Greater Minnesota Credit Union the Parks and
Recreation Department was able to purchase an inflatable outdoor movie screen, projector,
and DVD player. The first annual Movies in the Park started on Saturday, September 15`" at
the Rivers Edge Commons. The first two movies were Kicking and Screaming on
September 15`" and Toy Story on September 22"`' with a total of over 200 people in
attendance. The rest of the line-up will include SpongeBob "the Movie", Ice Age, Napoleon
Dynamite, and Casper "The Movie".
