• Fright Night was on Saturday, October 27`'' at Lions Park. With about 1,000
participants and volunteers. Participants were able to ride ponies and fire trucks,
watch Casper "The Movie", enjoy a treat trail, arts & crafts, moon walk, and a
pumpkin-a-pult. The Boys and Girls Club helped this year by organizing and hosting
the Haunted House.
• The Fall Colors Canoe Trip had 8 couples for this first time annual fall event.
• Staff is introducing many new programs such as Skating under the Stars, Bead Day,
Snow Football, Family Cardboard Sled Races, Scrapbooking Retreat, Jazzercise Lite,
and anon-school day Pirate Island Camp all in the upcoming Program Guide.

Working with YMCA (Amanda Larson) on Silver Sneakers training. Trained for paperwork 10-25.
Beginning to establish a "scholarship" program. Have met with the Lions for donations and spoke
with Bank of Elk River representative. In addition to help with fee based programs this would also
include voluntary membership and River Rider transportation if needed to get to Activity Center if
living on the GA campus and do not have transportation.
88 Keys! Working on fundraising for a baby grand piano for new activity center. Tim Simon is
assisting in "fundraising" letter to be sent out to Senior Center newsletter recipients and businesses.

Working on moving into the new Activity Center
• Met with Bob Pearson to plan wiring and cable installation for Activity Center
• Working with Tonya on move and opening new Activity Center
• Pool tables, Card area tables & chairs, Coffee area tables & chairs have been delivered.
October/November Tours:
10-24 Fall "Fun" Day in Waconia (Buffet & Musical entertainment)
11-7 Autumn Lights of Bluff Valley (Zumbro Falls, Dinner, entertainment and light tour).
