SUBJECT: Spectrum Academy Athletic Facilities Update
Update:
In June 2006 Spectrum Academy requested deferment of park dedication fees with the goal
of working out a joint powers agreement with the City of Elk River regarding the use and
maintenance of the athletic facilities. Negotiations are ongoing but there appears to be an
opportunity for a valuable partnership. Attached please find a concept design of the
proposed athletic facilities at Spectrum Academy. Staff will continue to meet with
representatives of Spectrum Academy and will return to the Commission once a draft
agreement has been completed.
