The cost for the free standing sign is $1,500 including installation. Staff suggested that the cost be divided in thirds between the Riverfront Committee, the EDA and the Street Dept. The installation will take place on 7/11 or 7/12/96 by the Street Dept. The Riverfront Committee would also like to place metal signs along Hwy. 10 that read "Historic Downtown", but there has been a problem finding a suitable site near the highway that is not within MnDOT right of way. Staff will continue to work with the committee on this issue. s:Xcouncil\hisdtsig.doc 13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
