SUBJECT: Major Park Use -Use of Lions Park Bandshell for a Mother Day
Concert
Re uest
Vaughn Smith has requested the use of the Lions Park Bandshell for a concert to be held on
Mothers Day which falls on Sunday, May 10~' 2009. The event would run from
12:00 - 6:00 p.m. and feature approximately four groups playing a variety of music. The
main objective would be to give the talented youth in the community an opportunity to
perform in front of an audience (moms, family, and friends) and be recognized for their
creative efforts. The concert would be free to the public.
Information for your consideration
• This is a resident group
Staff Recommendations
• Standard facility rental fees be applied.
• A police presence be required at the event with the expense being covered by the
group.
• The group will be responsible for any additional expenses incurred such as extra
portable toilets or trash clean up as required.
