We have two requests for additional lighting. They are Deerfield Hill Park and the parking lot
light on the north side of Hwy 10 east of Waconia Farm Store. Both locations are shown on the
attached maps.
At the Deerfield Hill Park, there has been some vandalism and other unsavory activities. The
addition of two lights, one by the parking area and one by the sliding and volleyball area will
hopefully minimize part of the problem.
The City is in discussion about downtown parking. Apparently, more parking emphasis will be
placed on the parking area between Hwy 10 and the railroad east of the Waconia Farm Store.
For safety concerns, City staff will be asking for us to install lighting in this area.
We recommend both areas but light with wood poles and cobra head fixtures.
