SUBJECT: Major Park Use -Use of Hillside City Park for a Wedding
Re uest
Nicole Wolf and Nathan Atkinson have requested to hold their wedding at Hillside City
Park on Saturday September 5, 2009. The wedding would run from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. The
group will be providing all supplies necessary for the event including tents, tables, chairs,
trash bags, portable toilets, a wash station, and an audio system. They expect approximately
250 guests to attend their wedding.
Information for your consideration
• This is aNon-Resident Group.
Staff Recommendations
• Rental rate of $350.00 be charged. This is consistent with the rate charged for
weddings held at River's Edge Commons.
• $250.00 damage deposit be charged. This is also consistent with the rate charged for
weddings at River's Edge Commons.
• The cost for the wedding guests to ride the Hillside mountain bike trail be included
as part of the rental fee.
• The event will be set up in such a way as to allow other park users to still have access
to the trails.
• The Police Department will be notified of the event.
