Due to our involvement with MMUA, the other City departments have joined the MMUA programs also. On an annual basis, our MMUA Safety Coordinator evaluates our safety program and involvement. Attached for your review is our 2006 evaluation. Again, this review is very complimentary to our personnel. Also keep in mind, a good program leads to good results. Also, it is a review of OSHA and DOT Safety compliance of your program. For the 2006 Year we Trained and worked on: ~ The required Trainings of AWAIR (Safety Program), Right to Know, Blood Borne Pathogen & Emergency Preparedness. ~ The Safety Compliance Records & Files / OSHA 3001ogs completed ~ Fire Safety /Fire Extinguishers---Plan & Use ~ Excavation, Trench & Roadway Safety Requirements ~ Confined Space Entry & Procedures were reviewed ~ Job Hazard Awareness ~ The role of the Supervisor & Employee in a Safety Program ~ The Concerns of Drug & Alcohol Abuse in the Workplace ~ A Gopher One presentation on the requirements of the "One Call System" ~ A County Presentation on "Preparation for the possibility of a Pandemic" ~ Low Back stretching techniques presented by Ideal Health The SP-9 evaluation format that I am using is detailed in your AWAIR Program. (Here are the 9 areas and my observations of them.) Employer Commitment: • Very Pro-active. Safety is major a concern. 2. Employee Involvement: • Good attitude. Good participation. • The City Safety Committee tries to be very Pro-active and the Utility representation is a great asset. 3.
