Northstar Access has finally installed a wireless Internet modem in Jim Tralles' residence
as part of their study to verify the technology and how applicable it is for Elk River. I
would ask Jim to update us on the success of this wireless Internet study.
On March 12, 2007 the City Council discussed the future of Energy City. I would also
ask Jerry Gumphrey to update us on that discussion.
The Elk River Municipal Utilities will again have a booth at the Chamber of Commerce
Business Expo on March 25, 2007.
The 2006 audit has been completed and a formal presentation will be made by Steve
McDonald of Abdo Eick & Meyers at our April meeting.
Enclosed is the following information for your review and hopefully your reading
enjoyment.
1) Copper Thieves cause another blackout from January 25, 2007, Nye
County newspaper.
2) Texas, Oklahoma Wrangling over Water from February 2007 Water~vorld.
