At the April 10, 2007, Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission meeting, authorization was
given to proceed with Well #9 at the Twin Lakes Estates location. Attached are the following
drawings for your review.
a) Location drawing
b) Site plan
c) Building floor plan
d) Landscaping plan
e) Three possible building elevation plans
The building is requiring us to go through the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) process with the
City. If all goes well, this process should conclude by July 16, 2007. I am currently visiting
with the adjacent property owners about this project.
The schedule for this project is as follows.
CUP approvals July 2007
Earthwork & Utilities September 2007
Construct Well Oct-Dec 2007
Construct Building March 2008
Mechanical & Instrumentation April 2008
Landscaping & Asphalt April 2008
Operational May 2008
The cost of this project is estimated to be $650,000. If we spread the cost over two years, we
hope to pay for this facility with cash reserves, depending upon WAC fees collected in 2007. If
this cannot be done, equipment bonds for the well or MMTG bond pool can be utilized in 2008
to finance a portion of this project.
