SUBJECT: Economic Development Strategic Planning Retreat
Since 1997 the Economic Development Strategic Plan has provided a framework for the
EDA and HRA to work within and focuses staff energies on those priority areas important
to the economic health of the City. Over the years the Strategic Plan has been revisited and
revised by the Commissions periodically to reflect the changing issues and economic
development priorities of the community.
The purpose of the planning retreat will be to identify and reach consensus on the priority
issues and goals for the 2009-2012 Economic Development Strategic Plan. The facilitator
for this planning retreat will be Mr. Kent Eklund of Cincinnatus, Inc. Mr. Eklund has
prepared the attached agenda for the evening's discussion.
