Oux business name is Flowex Haven. We will operate Flower Haven greenhouses in a total of 22 locations all over the state of Minnesota.. We have hooked at Elk River and think there is oppox~tunity to operate one hexe as we11. We are partnering with the Salvation Army Family Store to utilize space in their parking lot and then will be paying the Salvation Army a °/a of the profits on e~rerything we se11. We think that this is a gxeat opportunity to help raise money for the Salvation Army while s~pplyir~g plants to the Elk River community. We have a vexy competitive business plan that allows us to sell quality products at competitive prices. We think this model wail help bang ~n additional money for the Salvation Army. The Flower Haven of Elk River, at the Salvation Army, will be open from approximately May 1St to approximately June 15th. Our hours of operation may vary a ~i~tle but standard hours will be 9 am to 7 pm Monday thxough Friday, 8 am to 6 pm on Saturdays and 10 am to 5 pm on Sundays. Vie will primarily have one main person operating the greenhouse. She has additional help she will pull an as the need arises based on sales and plant care needs. She is an avid gardener and doves plants so she should be an excellent xesource to our Flower Haven cus~om~rs. We would like to cons~uct the greenhouse in an area of the parking dot ghat is not currently used by customers. The axea would be along the fence on the far west side of the parking lot. Although the stripping is not very good on that side of the lot we think we would take up about 6 spaces with the greenhouse itself plus 4-5 spaces for outdoor display of product anal our cash register but (Sft x 6ft). We will be pulling water and electricity off of the salvation Army building. We would like to have one of the big black signs that will read "Support the Salvation Army -Buy your plants here" or something like that. We would Tike to place this sign ~o ~t is readable by traffic on Hwy 169 and traffic turning at the txaffic light on the corner of Hwy 169 and the road coming into the Salvation Army. We also have our name on the cash register hut. We tihink this is an excellent way to raise some money for the Sa~va~ion Army and would like to have your apparoval to operate i~ this year.
